Beauty is a Destination: Photography, Art, and Seeing Differently

Hello, I’m Anne Vandycke, a Photographer and Contemporary Artist in New York City.

For years, I worked in two creative worlds: photography and contemporary art. At first, I kept them separate, one behind the camera, the other on canvas.

But the truth is, they come from the same vision: Beauty is a destination.

Why I brought it all together

Photography and art are not two separate paths. They are two ways of expressing the same belief: that beauty is not decoration, but a way of seeing, a destination we discover through light, presence, and emotion.

Through photography, I create refined visual experiences for luxury brands, private portrait clients, and select high-profile events, always revealing confidence, elegance, and presence.

Through contemporary art, I create paintings and fine art photography that invite reflection, transformation, and new ways of seeing. 

My work has been exhibited at the National Academy Museum NY, Sotheby's, and Fendi Casa Showroom.

Both are about transformation. Both invite people to see differently.

My signature concept: Couture & Canvas

Couture & Canvas is where photography and painting merge. It's my way of bridging image and imagination, bringing an artistic eye and editorial direction to every project, whether it's a brand campaign, a private portrait, or a piece for a collector's home.
